What should I do if I’m performing my own Audi RS3 maintenance?

If you’ve decided to service your own vehicle, make sure you do the followinga:

  1. Keep detailed service records. Track mileage, date, and keep proof of purchase for parts and fluids. If you ever have a warranty issue, you may be asked to provide service documentation. Not having records can result in a denied claim.
  2. Use oil that meets the correct specification. Per the owner’s manual, the oil must meet Audi spec VW 504 00 or VW 507 00.

Please note: The items above reflect parts and fluids with recommended replacement intervals. It’s always recommended to give the vehicle a thorough inspection during service. Audi also specifies inspection intervals for items such as coolant level/condition, axles, ball joints, hinges, lighting, and more. In our experience, these checks become especially important as mileage increases, and should be reviewed at every service to help ensure safe, reliable operation.
